Public governors are elected by their fellow members to sit on the council.

Gavin Rimmer has been a Governor for seven years, and in 2018 he became the Trust’s Lead Governor. He believes that becoming a governor of our Trust means you get to hear about opportunities to help, the chance to influence services and make a real difference.

“My own experiences as a patient and parent led me to stand for election initially in 2014. I am still passionate about improving healthcare locally and being a Governor allows me to make a difference, represent the views of members and the interests of the public across the Trust.
