Chris Holmes said "I am excited to announce that I am standing as the Yorkshire Party candidate for Don Valley.

“Year on year, Yorkshire towns and cities are ignored by London centric parties who only care about our votes.

“Both Labour and the Conservative Governments have consistently overlooked our region. They have left our infrastructure to rot, our NHS underfunded and our education system neglected.

“Westminster isn’t working. We don’t want any more candidates forced on us by the old Westminster Parties, who are only concerned with progressing their own political career. We need local people to represent our area.

“Don Valley deserves a strong, local voice to put the powers we need into our control. Yorkshire deserves better. Don Valley deserves better."

Stevie Manion said: "I am fed up of successive government’s forgetting Doncaster and Yorkshire. We have had a Labour MP for decades, and the lives of those in Doncaster North have not improved.

“Yorkshire deserves the right to take powers back from Westminster, and make the decisions closer to home, spending more on education, healthcare and infrastructure. We have been forgotten by those who should represent us.

“Yorkshire deserves better."

Leon French said: "Labour has taken Doncaster for granted for too long. Over the years we have seen cosmetic improvement but little in the way of dealing with the real issues Doncaster faces. Westminster isn’t working, and Doncaster deserves better.

“The Conservatives are no better. Doncaster and Yorkshire as a whole are consistently ignored by the Conservative Government from education funding to infrastructure spending and on the Conservatives' watch, homelessness has increased alarmingly. We deserve so much better than these tired old parties."

The Yorkshire Party campaigns for an elected Yorkshire Assembly and has pledged the full £39 billion Transport for the North has stated is required to build Northern Powerhouse Rail, increase in real terms Yorkshire school funding per pupil and to declare a region-wide Climate Emergency.
