More than 140 candidates are standing across 28 wards in the city.
Labour Liberal Democrats, Green, Conservative, Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, UK Independence (UKIP), Yorkshire, Social Democratic, Women’s Equality and Reform UK parties all have candidates in the running alongside independents.

There is now no overall control of the authority.
