Hide AdOver in Tinsley, Coun Shaffaq Mohammed and his family cleared major routes including Norborough Road and Bawtry Road – pausing for a socially distanced snowball fight.
And in Arbourthorne, councillors Ben Miskell, Sophie Wilson and Jack Scott spent the day rescuing stranded cars and clearing the driveway of a care home.
Pat Rodgers, who works as a carer at Arbourthorne Care Home on Berners Road said: “We need this driveway clear in case ambulances have to see our residents, but we haven’t got time to do it ourselves, especially during Covid.
“It is great to see councillors like Jack, Ben and Sophie roll their sleeves up like this. They did a great job clearing the driveway and we’re all very grateful.”
