Rotherham child abuse survivor Sammy Woodhouse tells devastating story on new TV show

A survivor of the Rotherham child sex abuse scandal will appear on a new TV show, to tell the story of how a gang leader groomed her from the age of 14.

Sammy Woodhouse, 35, was groomed by Arshid ‘Ash’ Hussain and fell pregnant with his child when she was aged just 15.

She waived her anonymity after Hussain was jailed for 35 years in 2016, and has since campaigned against sexual exploitation.

Sammy will now tell her story on new Crime + Investigation programme Survivors, which will be hosted by Denise Welch.

The programme is due to air on Monday, May 3 at 9pm.

Exploring each case, Denise Welch will find out what was going through survivor’s minds at every stage of the crime, how they found the inner strength to survive and face their attackers in court, and how the devastating turn of events irrevocably altered their lives.
