Plans revealed to turn former coffee shop into fried chicken and kebab takeaway
Plans for a new takeaway in a former cafe in Rotherham Town Centre have been lodged with RMBC.
Applicant Kalamohan Arumugam has lodged plans to turn a vacant former coffee and sandwich shop at 10 Upper Milgate, into a hot food takeaway selling fried chicken and kebab.
The propsed opening hours are from 10am -11pm, seven days a week.
Planning documents state that “high level odour control measures are proposed”, including fine filtration, UV ozone systems and carbon filtration units to remove odours.
A design and access statement adds: “We hope the proposed change of use has proven not to have any negative impact of the social, economic and aesthetical nature on the neighbouring properties and area.
“It is designed to preserve and improve the aspect of the local area, while putting a closed-down retail shop to good use.”
