“We ask that this is the same partner that will be with you in labour once you leave the ward area.

“On arrival to the ward, your birth partner will be asked if they have any symptoms of Covid 19 and have a temperature taken. If your birth partner has any symptoms they will be asked to return home and you will be asked to bring an alternative supportive person to the unit.

“To manage this increase in visiting safely, we ask that your birth partner has one visit per day. This means that once your birth partner arrives on the ward for visiting, that they remain on the ward at all times until they feel they wish to leave or until the end of visiting.”
