Labour call Nigel Farage's Doncaster trip "distraction tour" as Reform leader calls on fix to "broken Britain"

“It’s time he stopped chasing headlines and came clean with the public over the mountain of sleaze he and Reform UK are now drowning in”

The Labour Party have said that scandals around Reform UK “aren’t going away” as party leader Nigel Farage launched a tour across the UK in Doncaster.

On Thursday, October 1, Farage appeared alongside Boston and Skegness MP Richard Tice at Doncaster Racecourse as he launched the ‘100 Days to Save Britain’ tour.

However, Labour have claimed that this tour - in which Reform say they will lay out their plans for their first 100 days in Government if they win the next General Election - is a distraction tactic.

“Nigel Farage’s 100 Days of Distraction Tour won’t fool the public,” Bridget Phillipson MP, Chair of the Labour Party, said.

“The scandals and multiple police investigations aren't going away. It’s time he stopped chasing headlines and came clean with the public over the mountain of sleaze he and Reform UK are now drowning in.

“If Farage and Reform had done nothing wrong, they would surely have been open and honest with the public about these scandals. Instead, it’s clear they’re just in it for themselves.”

While in Doncaster, Farage said that he would focus on reindustrialisation in an effort to bring jobs back.

He continued: “These areas have been deindustrialised well paid jobs have been taken away, replaced by sadly crime - second worst crime [rates] in Yorkshire. It’s bad.

“We’ve got a big party slogan, Britain is broken.

“Well I’m sorry, but areas like Doncaster show you the extent to which it is broken.”
