The University of Sheffield’s Arts Tower was tonight lit up by campaigners Led By Donkeys, who have done a number of similar stunts around the country.

The full message read ‘REGISTER TO VOTE THE TORIES ARE LYING’, before showing a picture of Jacob Rees-Mogg in his famously relaxed pose on the House of Commons’ green benches.

Earlier, the group beamed a two-minute clip featuring a number of the Prime Minister’s recent ill-tempered bust-ups with people in Doncaster and across Yorkshire onto the side of Sheffield City Hall.

Footage of the stunt was shared by Led By Donkeys on Twitter with the message: “The people have turned against Boris Johnson. Now let's turn out to vote.”
