Launching in February, The Nook will take up a first floor space within the distinctive Krynkl complex in Shalesmoor.

It is one of three new tenants moving into the award winning business centre, created entirely from 26 recycled shipping containers.

Owners Glen Hinchliffe and John Asquith previously ran the highly successful Blah Bar in Barnsley and The Nook marks their first venture in Sheffield.

Krynkl already offers rooftop cocktails at Inc.Bar while The Nook will be a welcome addition to other pubs in the area, including The Ship, The Wellington, Bar Stewards and The Shakespeare.

Sheffield has seen a booming trade in both micro pubs and breweries with craft ale drinkers delighting in diverse flavours such as blood orange sour beer and pecan mud pie stout.

Also new to Krynkl is Desk.space, which already has a base at Hope Works in nearby Kelham Island.

It will be offering six co-working flexible spaces, with two of those slots already filled.

Desk.space offers an individual desk as well as superfast broadband and the use of a registered address.

The third new tenant is Engaged Solutions, a Doncaster based digital marketing agency specialising in SEO, content marketing, social media, web design and development.

They will take two units at Krynkl which marks their third site in South Yorkshire.

Krynkl was created by award winning Coda Studios and the four story development has become a landmark on the route into the city centre.

“As we go into a new year, it is great to see three new companies joining the Krynkl family,” said CODA chairman David Cross.

“Krynkl has proved to be a consistently successful home for many Sheffield start ups and also for more established businesses.

“Our aim was to create space for start-ups to have a go at building business and that’s exactly what’s happened.

“There are over 70 jobs that have been created within Krynkl and many of them have grown up and flown the nest to do bigger and better things.”
