Residents object to plans for apartments and new houses in Sheffield neighbourhood

Developers want to demolish a large detached house and replace it with a three to four storey building with nine apartments, a terrace of three mews houses and parking at Redmires Road in Lodge Moor.
There's been 31 objections that the development is too large, too dense, out of character and an overdevelopment with little green space.

Hide AdThere's also concerns about road safety, parking and congestion with the extra traffic.
Planning officers are advising councillors approve the scheme as they say the design will enhance the character of the area.
They say: "The amenity and living conditions of future and existing residents adjoining the site will remain satisfactory. The site is sustainably located, within easy reach of high frequency public transport services and local shops.”
