Plans submitted for dozens of new homes to be built off Sheffield Parkway

Strata Homes and Great Places Housing Group has submitted an application to Rotherham Council to build 76 homes in Catcliffe.

If approved, the homes would be built on land to the west of Blue Mans Way, Catcliffe, which is bordered to the north and west by the Sheffield Parkway, with Morrisons to the south.

The application documents state the development will be “modern and attractive”, offering a “pleasant environment for future residents, whilst meeting the affordable housing needs for the borough”.

The one to four bedroomed houses and flats would be available for for shared ownership and rent, and the development would include 145 parking spaces.

“A number of bus stops are also located close to the site on Sheffield Lane providing regular services to Rotherham, Sheffield and Waverley.

“The proposed development will be delivered through a partnership involving Strata Homes and Great Places Housing Group.”

A public consultation into the plans has been opened, and the public can comment on the application until February 5.
