Strata Homes and Great Places Housing Group has submitted an application to Rotherham Council to build 76 homes in Catcliffe.

If approved, the homes would be built on land to the west of Blue Mans Way, Catcliffe, which is bordered to the north and west by the Sheffield Parkway, with Morrisons to the south.

The application documents state the development will be “modern and attractive”, offering a “pleasant environment for future residents, whilst meeting the affordable housing needs for the borough”.

“A number of bus stops are also located close to the site on Sheffield Lane providing regular services to Rotherham, Sheffield and Waverley.

“The proposed development will be delivered through a partnership involving Strata Homes and Great Places Housing Group.”

A public consultation into the plans has been opened, and the public can comment on the application until February 5.
