Plans for new craft beer shop in Kelham Island

Growler Bear plan to set up the shop at The Wedge, 5 Cotton Mill Walk in Little Kelham.

The unit, which has consent for use as an office or for retail, is new and has not yet been used.

They also want to create a tasting room, if proposals are approved by the council.

In pre-application advice, the council said: “It is considered that the proposed use will add to the variety and offer of the Kelham Island area and contribute positively to the mixed use nature of the area.

"As such the general principle of the change of use is supported.”

Proposed opening hours are 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10.30pm on Sundays and bank holidays.
