Plans for new apartment block in popular Sheffield suburb
A new apartment block could be built in a popular Sheffield suburb.
Developers are hoping to build nine apartments, a mix of one and two bedrooms, on a strip of land in Crookes.
Tad Architects, on behalf of the developers, says each apartment will have a car parking space and there will be cycling provision.
In its application seeking planning permission from Sheffield Council, it says: “The scheme will regenerate a site that has not been used to its full potential nor maintained to a high level, to create much needed dwellings.
“The scheme is to redevelop the existing piece of wasteland to create nine apartments, creating a focal point at the junction of Crookes Road and Weston View, including car parking.
“The proposal aims to improve the safety and security of the site and provides three, one-bed apartments and six, two-bed apartments.”
Planning officers are considering the application.
