Miller & Carter, who already run other restaurants across Sheffield including one on Ecclesall Road South and another at Valley Centertainment, are set to breathe new life to the old Halifax building on Surrey Street, near the Winter Gardens.

They plan to be open from 8am to 12.30am, seven days a week and serve alcohol until midnight with special late opening hours on New Year's Eve.

There was one representation made by the public, from someone who raised concerns about potential nuisance late at night but they did not attend the hearing when the decision was made.
