New apartments and houses to be built in Sheffield suburb

Developer Rob Corolla of Coda Planning said they were very excited to bring a high quality development to the neighbourhood.

"It's been through many designs and is well thought out and built from high quality materials. The apartments are designed for modern living with renewable energy, car changing points and plenty of light and space.

"Each one has its own private terrace or balcony and there is undercroft parking, lift access and some good south facing rear gardens."

There were 31 objections but councillors approved it.

Coun Andrew Sangar said: "I have struggled with this one for some time but replacing a house with apartments is the sort of thing we are going to need to do.”
