South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and bus operators First and Stagecoach investigated after there were bus delays at Manor Park Centre.

There are two bus stops on the street, one city bound and one opposite in a lay-by, but access to both stops is causing delays.

The layout of the lay-by means buses have difficulty approaching and docking with the boarding point.

The city bound bus stop is also often blocked with parked vehicles which means the bus can't get near and passengers have to step into the road to get on.

Officers say in a report: "A scheme has been developed to adjust the entry angle to the lay-by and introduce waiting restrictions to restrict parking.”

Officers say during a three week consultation there were no objections but support from local councillors and residents association.
