If we are to properly address the climate and ecological emergency we need passionate and driven MPs to hold the Government to account and to propose radical changes. We are losing species and habitats at an alarming rate and I'm looking forward to working with Olivia to propose the urgent action required to save Britain's wildlife."
Olivia Blake, MP for Sheffield Hallam, said: “We are living through a climate and ecological emergency and need radical change if we are to protect our communities and the natural world.
"From worsening flooding to a decline in precious species, we can see the impact with own eyes here in Yorkshire.
This is why I’m so proud to be joining the Shadow Frontbench, to be nature’s voice in Parliament. I look forward to working with passionate campaigners and experts from across the country to develop a rescue plan for our natural world.”
