52 new apartments could be built on one of Sheffield's busiest streets
and live on Freeview channel 276
Beluga Projects put forward a planning application to build a six-storey block of 52 apartments and a retail unit on London Road.
The site is currently being used as a car sales lot.
If approved by Sheffield Council, it will be transformed into a block comprising of one and two double bed apartments with en-suites, shared kitchens and living spaces.

Hide AdThere is also a plan for a retail unit, a bin store and a bike shelter for 50 bicycles.
In a statement on behalf of Beluga Projects, Ben Wharton of Niemen Architects, said: "The site is ideally situated approximately half way between the two universities, and is well situated for access to the hospital additionally and the city centre to the north.
"The area is already popular with student residences and private residentialdevelopments, and is in a good proximity to most amenities and transport."
