Policy under microscope

A DOCUMENT setting out a strategy for Barnsley’s future is being scrutinised by a planning inspector at a series of public hearings.

The Core Strategy, which sets out policies for the next 15 years, “reflects the council’s hopes and aims for the people who live, work, run businesses and enjoy leisure” in the town.

Robin Brooks has been appointed planning inspector to conduct an independent five-day examination, at the Digital Media Centre, County Way, Barnsley, starting at 10am on Tuesday March 15.
