Police visit woodland sites to find solutions to off-road bikers

Police Community Support Officers and Rotherham Council officials have visited Wath Woods and Creighton Woods to look at possible solutions to stop illegal motorcyclists in their tracks.

They are considering extra fencing and gates and selective felling of dead trees.

A police spokesman said: “As both locations have numerous entrance and exit points for motorbike access this work will be ongoing over a period of time.”
