Police seek witnesses to crash near Sheffield bus stop

Police are urging people at a bus stop to come forward after an elderly man was involved in a collision with a car in Sheffield.

They believe the incident may have been witnessed by a number of people at a bus stop on Barnsley Road, Fir Vale, at 9.15pm on Wednesday, August 13.

A white Fiat 500 and an 82-year-old man were involved.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital, where he is still recovering.

Police are also trying to trace the driver of a car seen driving uphill along Barnsley Road, away from Herries Road and towards the Northern General Hospital entrance at the time of the collision.

It is believed the motorist may also have witnessed the collision.
