Police officers have been carrying out door-to-door inquiries in the lead up to the anniversary of a brutal attack on a Rotherham pensioner.
They have been calling at homes in Maltby asking for information on the attack on 80-year-old Tommy Ward, which claimed his life five months later.
Tommy, a former soldier, was found seriously injured in his home in Salisbury Road last October.
He suffered a fractured skull, broken ribs and shattered jaw in the attack and died in a nursing home five months later.
The OAP's £30,000 life savings were stolen from his home during the attack, which police have described in the past as 'brutal and unnecessary'.
His death is being treated as murder.
A £10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the killer is available from Crimestoppers.
Three men arrested over the death remain on police bail.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
