Police report lorry driver for poor driving after crash with car on Sheffield estate

A lorry driver has been reported by police for driving without due care and attention after crashing into a car on a Sheffield estate.

The HGV was being driven down Ridgeway Road, Gleadless, Sheffield, this afternoon when it collided with a silver Volkswagen.

Police released an image of the crash scene, showing paramedics attending to the driver of the car at the wheel, having collided with the lorry.

Police reported the lorry driver on summons to court for driving without due care and attention, meaning the driver will have to appear in court in connection with the incident.

The driver of the car has minor injuries. The car appears to be either a VW Golf, or possibly VW Polo or VW Lupo.
