Officers have spoken to the bus driver under caution in connection with the collision and enquiries are ongoing.

“We are very grateful to the support we’ve had from the public as we investigate this incident, but we believe there are more witnesses out there yet to come forward.

“It was rush hour in the city centre on a Friday night and we know from our enquiries so far that there were lots of people in the area.

“Even the smallest detail could be helpful so I’d urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have seen the teenagers prior to the collision, to get in touch.”

Witnesses should call 101 or email enquiries@southyorks.pnn.police.uk quoting incident number 823 of December 11, 2015.
