Police release e-fit after sex attack in Sheffield

Police investigating a sexual assault on a woman in Sheffield have released an e-fit of a man they want to talk to about the incident.

The attack happened in Fox Road, Upperthorpe, at about 6pm on Friday, July 22. A 25-year-old woman was walking from the direction of Infirmary Road when a man approached her.

The man is said to have tried to engage the woman in conversation before reportedly sexually assaulting her, according to police.

After the attack, the woman then left the area and made her way home before reporting the incident to police.

Her attacker is described as Middle Eastern, in his late 30s or early 40s and of slim build with a gaunt face. He was thought to have been wearing a khaki coloured t-shirt and jeans.

Police have released the e-fit image, left, of a man they want to talk to in connection with the attack.

A South Yorkshrie Police spokesman said: “Do you recognise the man in the e-fit image? If you do, or if you saw what happened, please call 101 quoting incident number 443 of July 22.”
