Police probe launched after gun fired in street

An investigation is underway after a gun was fired at a house in Chesterfield.

Officers were called to a house on Lucas Road after reports that a gun had been fired at the property.

Detective Inspector Darren Pope, who is overseeing the investigation, said: “I would like to reassure the local community that we are treating this as an isolated incident and urge anyone with information to contact us.”

Anyone with who saw anything suspicious or who has information about the incident at 3am last Thursday should call Derbyshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
