Police probe into murder of dad-of-three in Sheffield continues

The police probe into the murder of a dad-of-three in Sheffield is continuing today as detectives assess the information which has come to light following new appeals this week.

Jarvin Blake, aged 22, was stabbed to death in Burngreave four weeks ago in what detectives are treating as a targeted attack.

Four arrests have been made so far but nobody has yet been charged.

To mark the one-month anniversary of the killing, Jarvin's heartbroken fiancée Kelsey Dixon issued a plea for information to help detectives identify those involved.

She revealed that Jarvin had three children - one aged five years old, another aged three and a baby at just seven months - and that their son keeps asking when his daddy is coming home.

"I need justice for Jarvin and I need to know who did this and why," she said as she urged people with information to come forward.

She said Jarvin was a 'fantastic dad' who loved spending time with his children.

Kelsey, who was expecting to marry Jarvin over the next couple of years, said he was 'a handsome, funny and caring family man'.

Jarvin, from Gleadless, was stabbed in his chest at the junction of Catherine Street and Brackley Street, on Thursday, March 8.

A car pulled up alongside Jarvin and a friend and a group of men jumped out and chased the pair before attacking them.

Both men were rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

Yesterday, one month on from the attack, detectives and police officers visited the murder scene and surrounding streets in a bid to find witnesses or people with information who may not yet have come forward.

They handed out posters and visited shops and businesses in the area.
