Police probe into daytime burglary in Sheffield

Officers are looking for a burglar who broke into a house in Sheffield during daylight hours yesterday.

The culprit raided the house in Thornbridge Drive, Birley, sometime between 9.20am and 11am after forcing a door lock.

Officers are also investigating break-ins on Leighton Road, Gleadless Valley and Lismore Road, Meersbrook, after windows were forced open.

A house on Dyche Lane, Jordanthorpe, was broken into after a door was forced open and a burglar got into a house in Clough Road, Highfield, after a door was left unlocked.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
