A man is being hunted over an attempted bank robbery.

He walked into Lloyds in Market Street, Eckington, just before noon yesterday and demanded cash from the staff.

No weapons were seen and he left empty-handed.

The would-be robber was white, in his mid to late 20s, about 5ft 9ins tall and skinny.

He had short, dark brown hair, which was messy on top and was wearing a black hooded jacket and sunglasses.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call DC Simon Rogers at Derbyshire Police on 101.
