Police probe after Sheffield house goes up in flames

A police probe is underway after a house in Sheffield went up in flames in an arson attack.

The blaze in Page Hall Road, Page Hall, broke out at around 9pm on Sunday and caused extensive damage to the property.

South Yorkshire Police said nobody was injured in the fire.

A force spokeswoman said: "Emergency services were called to the house at 9pm and the fire was extinguished shortly after. Extensive damage was caused to the house but no one was injured.

"Police are treating the fire as suspicious and would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Page Hall area at around that time."
