Police officers briefed on search plan for missing Barnsley man

Police officers have been briefed on today’s search plan following the disappearance of a Barnsley pensioner four days ago.

Brian Tomlinson, aged 80, was reported missing on Friday and scores of officers have been involved in the search for him.

Firefighters have also been involved along with mountain rescue team volunteers.

The police helicopter and drones have also been used.

Mr Tomlinson was captured on CCTV walking along Park Grove, close to the town centre, at 4.15pm on the day he vanished. He was later seen just after 8pm outside a Premier Store on Pontefract Road.
