A POLICE operation is to be run across Derbyshire to reduce the number of people killed or injured on the roads.
Officers will be looking for motorists using their mobile phones, speeding, not wearing seatbelts and drink driving.
They will also be offering winter maintenance advice.
Chief Inspector Steve Wilson, head of roads policing, said: “It is not all about enforcement. My officers will be engaging with drivers in the hope of changing their behaviour and educating them.”
