Both offences occurred overnight on Thursday into Friday last week.

During the early hours of Friday, sports equipment and speakers were stolen from a car parked in Fox Lane, Birley and in the early hours of last Saturday clothing was stolen from a vehicle parked in Lister Crescent, Basegreen.

Two cars parked in Hopefield Avenue, Birley, last week both had CD players stolen from inside.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Please do not leave any valuables including loose change, clothing, electrical items and tools inside your vehicles.
