Police have repeated their warning to revellers about leaving expensive phones unattended while enjoying nights out in Doncaster.

A £500 phone was taken when a woman left her handbag unattended on a table at the Crown Hotel in Askern between 11.30pm on Friday and 1.30am on Saturday.

Another phone, valued at £400, was taken when the owner put it on the table in the Woolpack in Doncaster Market Place around 4am on Sunday.

And a woman who went to the bar to buy drinks at the CoCo nightspot on Silver Street, Doncaster, at 1.30am on Saturday found her purse, with £90 in, had disappeared from her bag.

Supt Eddie Murphy said: “Handbags and phones are worth a lot and shouldn’t be left unattended.”
