Police find CCTV footage of man found critically injured in Sheffield street

Police have issued pictures of a man found critically injured in Sheffield last week - in the hope that people may remember seeing him

Ashley Boulby, aged 27, was found slumped on the ground by a member of the public in London Road at 1.50am on Tuesday, December 8.

He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Detectives trying to establish what happened to Ashley have released a CCTV image of him captured shortly before he was found.

They have also issued a family photograph.

PC Mary Glossop, from South Yorkshire Police, said: “We’re still trying to establish how Ashley came to be so badly injured, so I hope that someone sees our photographs and recalls seeing Ashley in the London Road area late on Monday night and into the early hours of Tuesday morning.

“His family are desperate to understand what happened to him so I’d urge anyone with information to get in touch. No matter how small the detail, it could help us piece together Ashley’s movements that night.

“We know from our enquiries so far that he was last seen at around 1.05am so if you were in the area at the time, or saw anything suspicious, please give us a call.”
