Checks are to be carried out on the remnants of a van found in Rotherham after it had been stripped.

Officers found the shell of a white Ford Transit van at a garage site in Hatherley Road, Swinton.

They are trying to establish if it was stolen.

Last month a van stolen from Barnsley was stripped of its parts and dumped near Talbot Road, Swinton.

It had been stripped of its engine, transmission, lights, seats, dashboard, side door and other internal panels.
