Police in Rotherham are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a Rotherham man who disappeared earlier today.

David Adams, aged 32, was last seen at 12.50pm when he left Wathwood hospital on Gipsy Green Lane, Wath, to go to a local shop.

He was due back at the hospital at 1.20pm but never returned.

Mr Adams is 5ft 6ins tall and of a stocky build.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a royal blue coloured Adidas T-shirt and a black Berghaus jacket. He was also wearing a dark blue Yankees baseball cap and brown walking boots.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police are concerned for David’s welfare and would advise the public not to approach him if seen but to contact the police immediately.”

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency, quoting missing person reference CX/5685/2914.
