Police discover cocaine, heroin and a gun after raid on Sheffield home

A drug dealer has pleaded guilty to a string of offences after a police raid found quantities of class A drugs and a gun inside a Sheffield home.

Ricky Dexter Senior, aged 34, of White Thorns View, Batemoor entered guilty pleas at Sheffield Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 15.

A police spokesman said that officers executed a drugs warrant at an address on Batemoor and recovered a gun, ammunition, quantities of heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis.

Police also found drug equipment used to grow cannabis.

Senior was arrested on Monday, March 14 after the early morning raid and appeared in court the following day.

Senior was remanded in custody and will next appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, April 14.

A police spokesman posting on the Sheffield South West Local Police Team Facebook page described the drugs bust operation as a ‘fantastic result’.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “A drugs warrant was issued at a property in White Thorns View, Batemoor on Monday 14 March and a 34-year-old man was arrested.

Ricky Dexter Senior, of White Thorns View, Batemoor, was charged the following day with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, production of cannabis and possession of cannabis.
