Police cordon off Sheffield pub car park due to 'incident'

South Yorkshire have today confirmed they attended the Sherwood pub on Birley Moor Road in Frecheville to respond to an 'incident' over the weekend.

Officers were dispatched to the pub at around 9.50pm on Friday night.

But the force spokesman would not disclose the details of the 'incident' but they are 'appealing for witnesses'.

The spokesman added nothing further would be said until Monday.
