The hunt for two men who hid in a South Yorkshire bank and stabbed the manager continues today as detectives view CCTV footage of the crime scene.

Police confirmed last night there have been no arrests in connection with the armed raid at Lloyds TSB in Beckett Road, Wheatley, Doncaster, at around 8.30am on Monday.

The robbers - who were armed with a shotgun and a knife - are thought to have broken in at the rear some time over the weekend and waited for staff to arrive in the morning.

The manager was stabbed twice in the leg, but not seriously, before the men fled empty-handed because they could not get into the safe.

Both men were about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. One had a local accent and the other had a Middle Eastern accent.
