A police car was 'rammed' after a driver was ordered to pull over on a Rotherham street.

South Yorkshire Police said a police car with two officers inside was rammed by a vehicle in Richards Way, Rawmarsh, on Monday night when the driver was ordered to stop.

The 20-year-old reversed his vehicle into the police car and was arrested at the scene.

The two police officers involved in the incident suffered minor injuries.
