Police block busy Sheffield road after crash with debris strewn across carriageway

One of the busiest roads in Sheffield was blocked earlier this morning after a collision which left a debris strewn across the carriageway.

A car is believed to have struck a barrier running alongside the A57 Mosborough Bypass in the incident, which happened on the stretch between Coisley Hill roundabout and The Parkway.

Police officers blocked off the crash scene, which was near a stretch of road where two lanes merge into one.

It is not known whether anyone was injured in the crash.
