Police said they have been left 'astounded' by a number of Sheffield drivers this morning after another crash in the snowy conditions.

Officers had earlier warned motorists not to drive unless absolutely essential after crashes on Upper Albert Road and Bradway Road.

Upper Albert Road was completely blocked as a result of the crash and police warned that road conditions across the city were treacherous.

However, at around 8.45am police revealed that there had been another crash on Meadowhead which officers were now attending.

Officers warned motorists attempting to drive in the snowy conditions that they may be stopped by police and given a 'bobby talking to'.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers are already in attendance and are astounded by the manner of driving of others.

"Don't be surprised if you're stopped and given a #bobbytalkingto. You may be confident of your driving, but other drivers may not be #Sheffield."
