Police have launched an appeal to find a missing 62-year-old man who failed to turn up for work yesterday.

James Crothers left his home in Chaucer Road, Sheffield, at about 3.30pm on Wednesday, December 9. He usually catches two buses to get to work - one to Sheffield and then one to Darnall, where he works nights as a security guard.

James did not arrive at work and he has not been seen or heard from since.

The man is white, of slim build, and 6ft tall. When he left for work, James was wearing his security uniform - black shoes, black trousers, a black jacket with ‘Triton Security’ written on it, a red jumper and a red overcoat.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “It is extremely out of character for James to go missing and both police and his family are very concerned for him.

“Have you seen him? Do you know where he might be?”

Anyone with information is asked to call police in 101 quoting incident 22 of December 10, 2015.
