Police appeal after woman injured in Sheffield collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was injured during a collision in the Ecclesall area of Sheffield.

The incident occurred at around 10.45pm yesterday when a car collided with the open rear door of a blue Land Rover Discovery parked on Knowle Lane.

The owner, a 42-year-old woman, was injured when the door slammed shut after the collision.

She was taken to the Northern General Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.

The driver did not stop at the scene of the collision and continued in the direction of Ecclesall Road.

Police say the car is believed to be a small red vehicle, being driven by a middle-aged white man, which will have significant damage to the front nearside.
