Police appeal after man left with broken eye socket in violent robbery
A police appeal has been launched after a man was left with a broken eye socket and two broken arms after being violently assaulted and robbed.
Officers are looking to speak to a North Yorkshire couple who have links to South Yorkshire.
Police want to talk to Tommy Doyle, 36, and his wife Crystal Doherty Doyle, 26, after an incident at Hillfield Travellers’ caravan site in Seamer on March 19.
A resident of the site, who was befriended by the Doyles, was assaulted in his caravan and left with serious injuries, including two broken arms and a broken eye socket.
While he laid semi-conscious on the floor of his caravan, his belongings were stolen including cash, jewellery and clothing.
The Doyles left the caravan site shortly after the assault.
Police officers have carried out extensive enquiries to trace Tommy and Crystal and as part of their investigation, are asking for anyone who has seen in the past few weeks or knows of their current whereabouts, to contact them.
It is believed that they could be living in the Durham area. They also have connections to the South Yorkshire, Northumberland and Norfolk areas.
Anyone with any information that could assist the police with their investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for the Serious Crime Team in Northallerton.
Anyone with information is asked to quote reference number 121500 44546 when passing on information.
