Poker game raises funds

TRAINEE solicitors from Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office have donated £240 to the Cavendish Cancer Care charity as part of the Master Cutler’s Challenge.

The cash was raised at a charity poker evening hosted by Napoleons Casino and Restaurant on Ecclesall Road.

About 30 players, including representatives from Highlander, Brown McLeod and Co and Sheffield City Guide, spent some time networking before they sat down at the table to play the charity poker match.

Natasha Guthrie, a trainee solicitor at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield, said: “It was a great event, everyone who came along could relax and network and we all had such a good time.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to do something similar again.”

“We’d like to say a big thank you to the all the staff at Napoleons for great organisation and, of course, the excellent food.”
