Pokemon players to take over Sheffield city centre on Saturday with Pokemon Go bar crawl

Starting at 4pm at The Harley on Glossop Road, bars and pubs in Sheffield will be dropping lures and welcoming Pokemon Go players who will be going from pub to pub in pursuit of Pokemon .

Participating bars will have cheap food and drink offers along the way.

Players will also be asked to come in fancy dress or cosplay.

A spokesman for organiser Game Over said: “We are holding Sheffield’s very own Poké BARCRAWL!

“We have now secured various bars amongst sheffield and have conjured up the best route for maximum pokemon and pokéstops with the odd sprinkle of gyms too.

“We are running the event on a Saturday to allow everyone to come along and also through the day so all ages can come along too. Make it a day out!

“It will take place in the city centre and will release the map at a later date.

“The usual bar crawl but with constant lures for the duration of the stop. As well as discounted drinks prices (alcohol/soft drinks) throughout Sheffield!

“A finale will be held at Game Over’s home for monthly events at Bloo88.

“What are YOU waiting for? Do you have the highest CP pokemon and want to join to take over gyms? Day out with the kids so they can catch lots of different pokemon?”
