Police and transport bosses in South Yorkshire have teamed up to tackle anti-social behaviour in a bid to prevent incidents on vehicles, at bus stops and interchanges.

The ‘See Something, Say Something’ initiative encourages people who witness an incident to report it.

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive director of customer experience David Young said: “We are proud of the level of safety and security in our interchanges and on South Yorkshire’s public transport network but sometimes anti-social behaviour can still occur.”

■ People can anonymously report a crime on public transport at Travel South Yorkshire by calling 01709 51 51 51 or speaking to transport staff.
